Counter Heat Drive for Karachi – June 2015

A 2-Day long, Water Drive for the residents of Karachi designed and executed by ‘The Akram Foundation’. The ‘Counter Heat Drive’ brought water to families struggling in the aftermath of the heat wave in areas Korangi, Saddar, Malir Halt, Model Colony and Nazimabad.

Heart of the Nation

img4Shabana R underwent a sensitive procedure for an aortic aneurysm under the care or Dr. Saulet Hasnain Fatimi at the Agha Khan University Hospital and now has another chance at life. She was treated with the help of a secret angel who in collaboration with The Akram Foundation was able to give this young girl a reason to smile again. The operation lasted 5 hours and was declared successful to family in tears, smiles and hopes. Shabana is now hale and hearty and with her daily medication and physiotherapy sessions looks forward to a long life in high spirits.
